In 2005 the Texas Pete Twin City RibFest began in a church parking lot in downtown Winston-Salem, NC. Its immediate success helped it gain national recognition in Bon Apetit magazine and MarthaStewart.com. Its tremendous growth demanded a larger home in 2009 when the festival moved to the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds where it once again drew thousands of BBQ and music fans from throughout the region.
